"Ford-Werke, the German subsidiary of American car maker Ford, intends to invest around EUR 94 million in production of its new Ka model in Poland, likely to be launched late this year, Wolfgang Schneider, deputy chief executive of Ford Europe, said at a press briefing on Monday.

"The new Ka will be made in collaboration with Italian Fiat in the southern city of Tychy. Ford-Werke decided to move the production from Spain's Valencia, motivated by lower costs, the potential of the Polish market and the country's strategic position in the region." Interfax CE March 2008

"Representatives of Britain's Cadbury Schweppes and the Economy Ministry have signed a letter of intent concerning an investment in Poland, according to daily Rzeczpospolita. Cadbury is expected to spend over € 250 million on construction of a production plant in Skarbimierz and to develop its existing plant in Bielany Wroclawskie, creating 750 new jobs." Poland A.M.
